Books and Baseball (B&B) is the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy's sole early childhood development program and is in partnership with DC Public Library. B&B blends a love for learning and a love for baseball. B&B is typically, roughly 70 minutes. Usually, for the first half of the program, children are engaged while a DC Public Librarian reads a story book. For the second half of B&B, Academy coaches lead the children through a fun, rudimentary baseball clinic focused on enhancing participants' motor skills and learning the basics of baseball. The program is for youth ages 3-5 and offers open enrollment year-round.
