By signing up, you are joining our WAITLIST. Our current BASE Program is full. However, by participating in YBA PLAY, chances to join our BASE Program are increased --- we encourage energy, effort and positive attitudes when making decisions on limited spaces.


Base Program (BP) is for grades 3^rd-8^th and runs four days a week (Monday through Thursday) from 3:30-7:30pm during the school year, and five days a week from 8am-4pm between the last week of June and the first week of August.  BP is a holistic enrichment program, offering snack upon arrival, study hall, baseball/softball time, physical activity, mentorship programming, enrichment programming (for example, nutrition education and health cooking courses, yoga, computer coding, and flag football), along with a healthy Community Dinner. During the summer months, the above offerings are expanded to include STEM and Literacy lessons, taught by professional teaching fellows.  BASE Program at Nats Academy is for Ward 7 and 8 youth only. Scholar-Athletes enrolled in the Academy's BP, must commit to being with the Academy year round (with a required 60% or above attendance rate) and matriculate through 8^th grade.

Nats Academy is free.  A  family's  "payment" is commitment.  Here are our main, general supports:

1. Academic support, 3^rd-8^th grade
2. Chromebook usage and other tech resources
3. Creating a network and support system for high school entrance
4. Daily physical fitness and baseball/softball instruction
5. Daily, creative enrichment activities 
6. Potential to play on HUSTLE, our competitive travel baseball program
