Welcome to the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy

The Washington Nationals Youth Academy's mission is to use the sports of baseball and softball as vehicles to foster positive character development, academic achievement, and improved health among youth from underserved communities in Washington, D.C. The Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy is the signature program of Nationals Philanthropies, the official charitable arm of the Washington Nationals. Conceived as part of a public-private partnership between the District government and Major League Baseball in the deal that brought the Nationals to Washington, D.C., the Academy operates out of a state-of-the-art, nine-acre education and recreation campus constructed in the Fort Dupont Park neighborhood in Ward 7. Through a holistic youth development program - including academic enrichment, physical activity, and health education - the Academy imparts a lasting impact on the lives of school-age children living east of the Anacostia River.

WE ARE GUIDED BY OUR CORE VALUES:

  1. BE OUTSTANDING

We demonstrate respect, integrity, and a strong work ethic. We are committed to having a positive attitude while giving out all in everything we do.
  2. BE HEALTHY

We eat well and exercise every day because we envision a happy and healthy future.
  3. BE A LEADER

We strive to make each person around use better and always choose to do the right thing.
  4. CONTINUE TO LEARN

We do not fear failure. We believe in continually improving--on and off the field--acknowledging our mistakes, learning from them, and moving forward
